About the event

Come Celebrate National Poetry Month at Harris Stowe State University with Rewrite Poetry Group and Some Things Must Be Heard: Spitting & Politicking. We are inviting seasoned, novice, and budding poets to join us for a night of Storytelling via Spoken Word Poetry & Socially Conscious Activation .

We understand the importance of connection, community, and collectivism so we are being intentional about Bridging the GAP because legacy building is about information dissemination, acquisition and retention. We must learn form our elders, be guided by our ancestors and led by our youth.

Doors will open at 5:30 pm and the show will be from 6pm to 8 pm. We will be featuring Slam Champ, Coach and Veteran poetry Jay Luvve and International Spoken Word Artist and Community Organizer T-Spirit. We are excited about this Collaboration with Power House K-Money the poet, known to her Harris Stowe Team as Ms. Kristen Harris and the ReWrite Poetry Group.

THE MIC IS OPEN !!! LET"S GO
