Some Things Must Be Heard: Closed Mic Families, Fathers and Freedom Edition is going down on 6/16/24 at the @highlow and we are celebrating and Black Fathers, Black Men, Families and Freedom.... our Features are @the_princeofpoetry The Prince of Poetry and cofounder of Talk It Out Tuesdays. This brother is coming from the CHI and he is bring pure love while encouraging accountability. We talk about GOD body a lot but this brother embodies the principles of GOD...

We have featured more than 20 Local, National, and International Spoken Word Artists and Community Organizers.
I created this platform because deep meaningful transformation occurs when we have safe sacred spaces to openly and honestly express ourselves, network, and build lasting relationships. We are committed to using art as a strategy for organizing and a tool for black liberation. My featured artists and organizers are committed to the art and the movement. Artists, Activists, Humanitarians, Revolutionaries, and Community Organizers such as Audre Lorde, Sonia Sanchez, Nikki Giovanni, Amir Baraka, Maya Angelou, Alice Walker,
and Langston Hughes used their gifts to radicalize the people and enact change and we intend to do the same.
