SOME THINGS MUST BE HEARD
~ SPITTING & POLITCKING ~
OUR MISSION
Some Things Must Be Heard: Spitting & Politicking is a Black-Led art focused, communal healing, and movement building initiative that merges art, NARRATIVE advocacy, spirituality, and embodied organizing to ignite transformation. We create spaces where currently & formerly incarcerated, systems impacted, and marginalized voices are uplifted. Here stories become medicine and liberation is nurtured through truth-telling, cultural reclamation, healing justice, and system change.
OUR VISION
Our vision is a world where art, activism, and embodied organizing converge to heal communities
dismantle systems of oppression, and inspire collective liberation. We envision a thriving network of artists, embodied organizers, and community members : local, national, and international who are deeply connected through shared purpose, radical creativity, and revolutionary love.
Through transformative performances, workshops, art based campaigns, and collaborative partnerships, we seek to develop emerging voices: especially those of the formerly incarcerated and system impacted while cultivating political awareness, emotional/ spiritual resilience, and building grassroots power. We aim to pull audience members, participants, and collaborators into this art centered movement and equip them with tangible tools for personal and societal transformation.
